My new Poli Sci teacher is unbelievably cool. He emails us in-depth updates on our homework assignments and sometimes class notes too. How cool is that? Way more work than most teachers are willing to give toward making things easy for students. I almost feel spoiled by it. And this is the guy who, the quarter before last, worked at a U.C. school, where everything is suposedly hard and scary and stuff.

In other news, I'm all high on Naruto #78. Wow! That's the thing about this show... you might have 4 episodes where transitional stuff happens, and then you have an episode where CRAZY amounts of things happen all Bam!Bam!Bam!. We finally got right into the fight. Frog Boss! I love him.

But not as much as I love it when Naruto does that mass Bunshin no Jutsu. That should be renamed the Scare The Pants Off Everyone Else Jutsu. Because when he does it, that's what seems to happen. Naruto does five or ten clones and nobody blinks an eye. He does fifty clones and people raise their eyebrows, or get a bit nervous. He does a thousand clones and people just freak.out. ::grin::

I liked Naruto's enema attack. ::snert:: He's tried that thing before, and though he can't seem to get it right the way Kakashi did, he changed it into a much better attack. I loved the way his clones bounced off each other like stepping stones as each was destroyed. Very cool visually. That's what's good about this show that makes it a million times better than DBZ even in terms of animation only (because of course the writing is far superior)-- the design of the attacks and the fights is very interesting, as are the camera angles and framing during battles. Intellectually, this show has an addictive plot. Visually, it has wonderful presentation and style.

So to speak. ^__^ This is the shit. This is one of my favourite eps. Lol, it was definitely exhilarating. And the look on Sasuke's face when he saw Naruto doing what he thought was impossible for Naruto.

oh yeah. One of the things that I realized recently, is that Naruto is not a show-off with his ninja skills. With his personality being as exuberant as it is, and his great desire for attention, I've spent a good deal of 70-something episodes chanting "show them what you can do! Prove them all wrong!" and he never does until the last minute, and then he only displays the amount of power he thinks he needs and applies that appropriately, like the fight with Kiba and the early parts of the fight with Neji (which, now that I think about it, Sasuke didn't see at all.) So I've been waiting for him to show off, and he really doesn't. Which is pretty cool. I don't know if I'd be able to sit on a wealth of that much power and not show it off-- even just his own normal chakra, not counting the Fox Demon's.

Maybe the I-told-you-so satisfaction level is richer in the heat of the moment than in a school yard bet.
