Why aren't there more anime music vids to Silverchair?

Seriously. It baffles me... with the type of music they do, I'd expect like a million DBZ vids, a million CB vids, and plenty others too. And yet there's less than 5 on amv.org.

If I used Silverchair songs, I'd probably put them to Gundam Wing.

Anthem of the Year 2000 = general GW vid

Black Tangled Heart = Heero and Relena!

Emotion Sickness = Heero song of. all. time.

other shows that would work...

Suicidal Dream = Vash from Trigun. Seems weird, I know, but it could work.

Tomorrow = various characters from Fushigi Yuugi. Or... maybe Naruto and Gaara and the other "unfortunates" from Naruto.

Israel's Son = Sasuke from Naruto. For the angry homicidal kid in the corner.

Miss You Love = Faye and Spike from Cowboy Bebop. For a messed up relationship. Though I also still maintain that this is one of the best songs possible for BtVS season 6 Spuffy.

Anna's Song (Open Song) = Kikyou from Inu Yasha. This is so her song. All black and evil and obsessive and depressing and making IY her slave. Makes me want to make a vid just thinking about it. For example:

Please die Ana
For as long as you're here we're not
You make the sound of laughter
and sharpened nails seem softer
And I need you now somehow
And I need you now somehow

Open fire on the needs designed
On my knees for you
Open fire on my knees desires
What I need from you

Imagine pageant
In my head the flesh seems thicker
Sandpaper tears corrode the film

And I need you now somehow
And I need you now somehow

Open fire on the needs designed
On my knees for you
Open fire on my knees desires
What I need from you

And you're my obsession
I love you to the bones
And Ana wrecks your life
Like an Anorexia life

Open fire on the needs designed
On my knees for you
Open fire on my knees desires
What I need from you
Open fire on the needs designed
Open fire on my knees desires
On my knees for you

Yep... such a Kikyou/IY song.

You know, Frogstomp was the first alternative CD I ever bought. Neon Ballroom is my favorite though. I still don't have Freakshow.

Okay, since I'm pretty sure that "Ana's Song" is literally about anorexia, now I have visions of Kikyo exercising obsessively and eating only lettuce. *dissolves into giggles*

It is literally about anorexia, ironically (like many tragic celebrities the lead signer suffered from it as a reaction to fame... like the lucky ones he managed to get help before he died of it), but if you listen to it, it would be perfect. All that talk about bones and death and obsession. And the second line especially..."For as long as you're here we're not" ... IY can't live a full life while chasing Kikyou around, and Kagome is chasing after him, poor thing, with only like half her soul or something...

now I have visions of Kikyo exercising obsessively and eating only lettuce.

Lettuce. Heeee..

I like Neon Ballroom better than Freakshow too, although I could never really generate more than a passing interest in Silverchair. But hey, they're Aussie!

Did you know Daniel Johns is in another band at the moment, a side project thing, with a Aussie dance producer called Paul Mac? They're called The Dissociatives...it's not really my stle (it's like a focus of rock and dance/pop stuff), but you might want to check them out.

What about Diorama? Their best in my opinion. But then, they get better with each album.
