I'm currently applying for housing at UC Irvine.

The Residence Halls are named after Tolkien characters and places.

Dudes, I could be LIVING in the Shire next year. Or in Rohan or Lorien.

Who knows... maybe I'll find my own blond-haired Legolas amongst my dormmates...

When I was a student there, I lived in Misty Mountain, which was (at that time) the multi-cultural dorm. Hobbiton and The Shire were the freshman dorms, and they were completely insane, with loud parties all the time and pranksters always pulling the fire alarms and bringing the fire trucks out every couple weeks.

I'm not sure if it's still there, but there was a great little pizza place in Middle Earth when I was there, called Papa Bilbo's. Good calzones. :)

Dude that's fuckin awesome. I would love to live in Rohan. Our dorms have the dumbest names ever. "Safari Hall" and "The Breakfest Club" being among them. Ugh. Why can't we get creative people to name our halls?
