Everyone Wants to Rule the World

So I've recently realized that when I read a Cowbop Bebop fic of the Faye/Spike inclination, I tend to review the same fics that a certain collection of other people tend to review. authenticpoppy. red-tenko. Lady Razorsharp. SpecterQueen. Bob5. Brigidforest. Kajouka. Moonwhisper. Neko-chan4. sidewalk serfer girl. And most of the people on fayeandspike. I tend to read a fic if I've seen these names in the reviews, and I tend to read the reviews these people leave. And I read their fic too.

Now, for some reason this struck me with a funny idea tonight. We should make a club. A cabal!

Or... better yet... a Syndicate! We could be the F/S reviewing Syndicate of ff.net! We could have a silly melodramatic name, too, like... the Striped Cat Syndicate.

We could go around and collectively praise or murder a fic by the power of mass reviews from fellow authors! We could raise up those little-known authors with jewels written but no reviews, and we could utterly crush the sucky cliche badfics!

But then, I was never fond of cliques.

::sigh:: And really, my plans of world domination never turn out well anyway.

I think Cabal's are better than Syndicates. People form Syndicates to play the lottery, no one forms Cabal's except for sisnster (And ergo exciting) purposes!

That's true... Cambridge Dictionaries Online defines a cabal as "a small group of people who plan secretly to take action, especially political action"... it sounds exciting. But then again in CBverse (which I swear is exactly like Fireflyverse), the Syndicates are the big crime lords and they're part of canon, so it would have that cool in-joke factor. As would the name "Striped Cat."
