::rewatches episode 13 of Full Metal Alchemist::
I loved this episode!
Ed doing an impression of Colonel Mustang.
All the fun military characters, and all the Mustang.
Their reactions to the dog.
Ed's manic glee at the idea of fighting Mustang.
Mustang's endless ambition (and interestingly we still don't know why he's so ambitious.)
Hughes's daughter-bragging.
The creepy Scar at the end.
One of the things I  about this show is the development over time... not only does time pass actively, even rapidly at times, but the characters change to suit the development... Mustang and Hughes are promoted, Ed and Al are more mature and more cynical (but still oh so young that it breaks my heart.)
I have a hard time picking a favorite character here. I love them all, because they're all so funny or so tragic in their own way. Like, one minute I love Mustang's character, the next minute I love Huhges. The next minute I love Ed, and the next I love Al. Or the blond soldier who acts as Roy Mustang's right hand (::snickers at her shooting to discipline the dog::), and the next the little grandma who makes auto-mail. They're all such fun characters. And the guy with the pink sparkles. I heart him too.
And the dialogue of this series just KICKS ASS. It's got really really good dialogue that doesn't lapse into many of the trappings that anime series can fall into.
I need some icons. And I need my last test tomorrow to be over so that I can sit back and REALLY start watching the eps.
