Thank you for the condolences about Bubba. It's much appreciated.
This doesn't have anything to do with shipper wars- well, at least not for me. I'm sure it does for some fans (and before this gets misread, I don't mean *you* in particular). What it has to do with (for me- female, 34 yo, married, one kid, a few pets) is that someone is now using a *rape scene* (the poster you link to doesn't even deny it was a rape scene, others do, that's a whole nother argument, but she even *calls* it a rape scene and says how empotional it is) to champion the possibility of the two characters involved ending up in love. I...that is just completely beyond my ken.
I don't know her from Adam, so posting in her LJ would have been insane. You linked, I commented. It was an emotional reaction- and it was labeled as such. I said how *I felt*. Strongly, yea, but it was clearly a statement of emotion. At no point did I flame or insult anyone else. I mean, you *read* my LJ. You KNOW I can be a bitch if I wanna be. That was not me be being a bitch. That was me being horrified. I wasn't using that as an expression or a metaphor for something else, I was horrified and I was being honest about it. I don't get how someone can go from "here we see the heroine being raped" (again, she did say she saw a rape scene) to "this season, we will see her in love with her attempted rapist". Man, it wasn't cool 15 years ago on General Hospital (old GH fan here, showing my age) and it isn't cool *now.*
I'm sorry you got angry/hurt/upset or felt put upon by my reply. Who you choose to keep on your list is certainly not for me to decide. I enjoy your comments and posts, on your LJ and my own, even when we disagree and you write things like "nyah nyah nyah" (I think that was you??)and that's why I put you on my list. Other than that, I dunno what else to say.
