Well, might be partly because the colors you see on the screen really have very little relation to the colors that will come out of your printer.
Well, see, I thought about that. But we're talking MAJOR color change. Not just lighter or darker, brown turning to full purple and yellow to pinky purple. Or, it could be that you need to re-calibrate the inks in your printer. Try that, first. Failing that, print it in black/white.
How do I do that? Like I said, I cna't seem to accesss my printer options.
