Naruto chapter 245

How cool! I *knew* Naruto would come back taller. DIDN'T I?!?! Ha. Well, we still don't know about Sasuke, but I feel vindicated anyway.

I don't know if I like his new outfit, but his old one was more silly and I got used to that. I'm kind of sad his hair's not different ::coughmorelike4thHokagecough::, but I suppose Naruto will be Naruto no matter how old he gets.

Is it just me, or is his forehead protector headband bigger, or wider?

It's too bad we couldn't get a height comparison picture of Konohamaru.

I like Sakura's new outfit, but I have no idea how she's supposed to fight in it. It would just ride up to her waist.

So they're back with Kakashi on a team... and he's not their sensei anymore? Cool. Very cool. Sounds almost like they're going to be treated as if they were chunnin, even though they're not yet.

Anyway, WHOO!! NEW NARUTO!

I burst into tears at the sight of Naruto back and loving his city. And then AGAIN at the shot of him standing next to Sakura. I'm such a sap. He got TALLER THAN HER! Waaaaaaaaaaah! Oh, they are so adorable.

I just know that Kishimoto is going to stretch out the re-introduction of the babyninjas as long as possible, just to torture me. So that six months from now things will still be going: "Oh, who could it be lurking behind that corner over there? Why, it's....NO-LONGER-BABYNINJA!SHIKAMARU!"

I love Sakura's outfit, especially the kicky boots. (She is HOT! *girlcrushes*) Although she probably won't fight with lots of kicking (and skirt-riding-up); more like power-punching and killing people by ripping out their chakra. A medical ninja has many friends and few enemies. ...Left alive.

I wonder if we're going to have chuunin exams again. If they're at war, they really could use some more good lieutenants.

God, I'm SO HAPPY to have my babyninjas back!! Although we can't really call them babyninjas anymore... Teenyninjas?

I was so happy to see this chapter. I usually wait until the scanlation is released, but I downloaded it raw just so I could see what they looked like (though since the scanlation came out like the next day I suppose I could have waited had I known it would take so little time). I was happy about Naruto being taller now, too. I also thought it was cute that Naruto gave Kakashi Jiraiya's new book. Hee.

Also, your icon? Is priceless.

I know! It's so cute. And, I know it's kinda silly, but just the fact that he's now taller supports my Inner NaruSaku Fan.

ACK! You're right! I hadn't even thought of that! I bet Shikamaru's gonna be one of the tallest now. I can just see him growing up to be a tall guy. Although most of the babyninjas were the same height, Shikamaru just had this "tall and thin" look. Maybe it was his tall hair?

I liked her boots and her shirt more than her skirt, which is about the length of Julia Robert's skirt in the first half of Pretty Woman. But even this skirt is more efficient than the last one, in the simple fact that it won't flap around.

If they're at war, they really could use some more good lieutenants.

I was wondering that too. I have this theory, given Kakashi's words in this chapter, that they may end up not taking the exam but doing the work of chunins anyway, or at some point if things get really bad, they might just get promoted with no ceremony in the middle of the way, on the night before a big battle or something, or if they have to be chunin before they could do some particular task. It would be ironic if, after all that effort in the first exams, they ended up getting summarily promoted with nothing significant at all.

I think we can still make a case for babyninjas. Because it sounds better. And they're still young, and it still differentiates them from the full adults.

Yeah, that was sweet. Naruto really cherishes his relationships, even though he would have a right to hold some resentment against Kakashi for Sasuke-favoritism. But he doesn't! Because he's Naruto.
