A Spelling Thought
Feb. 13th, 2005 06:46 pmI don't understand people who spell words incorrectly on the internet by adding letters.
I like something I saw today: "shure" for "sure". I've seen this kind of thing often.
Come on! This defeats the whole purpose of bad internet spelling!
People spell poorly because they're typing fast so they shorten things to netspeak. As repulsive as I find netspeak to be, I can sympathize with it that way.
But adding letters? Not just replacing them, adding them? Pointlessly to mess up perfectly fine spelled words?
Jeez, come on! That's extra work! Either do it right or be lazy, but don't be proactive AND wrong!
This is the internet. If you can't be lazy like the rest of us, you don't deserve to be here.
