Two fannish thoughts for this evening:

1. FMA: vote on the poll with the ultimate Edward character question: braid or ponytail?

2. Carnivale: OMGLikeWTF? I just watched the two most recent episodes. After having missed all since episode 2.2.

Dude, Sophie is so up to something. What, I have no idea. But I'd bet you that 50 cents Samson is riding on that she won't be caressing no antichrist anytime soon.

My heart went out to Samson tonight. I don't know why he liked Management so much (the dude treated him like crap), but the actor is great and his pain seemed real. Especially in the scene with the myster trailer. Also, Samson is one of the few people I like as people, on this show; most of the rest I just find interesting and provocative, but don't really like.

In the previouslys they showed Ben and Sophie gettin' it on in the car. Damn, why do I always miss the juicy episodes?!

...What is Scutter's power again? What exactly was management's? Does evil/good rotate with each generation?

Go Libby!

Ben was unusually Jesusy in the end of this episode. Most of the time he's not even close. Maybe all that power & lore he got from Management's Quickening, I mean, heavenly spirit, afforded him a more Jesusy nature. Like a gift with purchase.

... And I'm going to finish with "Justin's rejecting his traditional religiousity and going to the special hell!" just so I can fit 3 multi-fandom references into a 3 sentence span.

...What is Scutter's power again?

I imagine it's similar to Justin's. A manipulation over people's minds, it seems. Whenever he's tried to use any power he has for the purpose of good, it's backfired.

What exactly was management's?

Same as Ben's. His power had grown weaker because he was weak, from age and injury.

Does evil/good rotate with each generation?

Yes, it surely does. Some people still can't accept the fact that Scudder is the Creature of Dark (it's stated clearly in the monologue at the beginning of the season he IS). Sofie, well, I haven't quite sorted out her deal. Most of us are convinced she's a wild card of some kind. Whoever's side she ends up on, eventually, will be the one that prevails.

Or she could just kill them both and become the Queen of the New Age.
