Hmmm, I got "Appreciator" too... I thought it would have pegged me as a little more nerdy, as I know I got all the trivia right. But then, I've never really done anything like go to the cons or collect action figures- the only ST merch I have consists of four of the movies.

I think I got about 80 percent of the trivia right. I missed out on some stuff with the original series, which I've only watched a few episodes of.

As a kid? Ouch, now I feel old. Heh, I was born the same month as original Trek premiered and can remember sneaking and watching the last season shows (1968-9) with my older brother, from our bedroom doorways. (Mom and Dad watched it. It was on way past our bedtimes. We were 2 and 5 years old. It wasn't just for Trek we did that, but that's the one we both liked the best.)

I'm pretty sure most of my point loss came from not being an uber-geek who dresses up for cons and owns every piece of collector's junk available. Oh, and there were a couple of questions from Voyager I didn't know answers too. Most of the stuff I knew about DS9 I gleaned from people who worshipped it. Worf marrying Dax, etc. I have no idea what quandrant that planet is in, though. Probably whichever one the Voyager crew was lost in. I stopped watching that series after Kes croaked.

I was born in 1984... so yep, I watched TNG as a kid. I remember being frightened by one where the crusteacean-like bug thingies take over the crew, and there's that shot of them crawling in and out of Barclay's various orifices as he sits on this throne-like chair.

Or that scene where they all eat maggots from a bowl. Eww. That stuff was too mature for tender little me.

I sort of watched DS9, certainly enough that I knew the major characters, but I ended up missing huges chunks of storyline, especially in the latter seasons. I only watched Voyager spottily, like the same way as DS9, only less. I've watched hardly any Enterprise-- just to know that I don't like it.

I guess I always liked the NG crew best, and I thought their show was the best written of all of them. But then, I could be biased cause I liked to watch them when I was younger.

I'm kind of like you in that I don't know any kind of inane con trivia. I don't know what state Kirk was born in, for instance. Or what quadrant things are in. I said Delta, as a default answer for anything with Star Trek. I mostly didn't know stuff from the original series, which I've seen the least of.

Kirk was born in Iowa. I know that one solely because I've seen Star Trek IV: The Voyage Home more times than one should. It's my favorite ST movie, despite the fact The Next Generation was my favorite series.

Most of my friends have achieved that "I can't tell Star Trek from reality" answer, though. They scare me.

Heh, I graduated high school that year. I liked NG best myself and I've seen all of them. (Although Enterprise never has caught on with me and neither did DS9. Voyager was the last one I watched regularly) My younger sister is of the same opinion. From what I've seen of Trek fans: female fans tend to prefer NG and Voyager no matter their age- with NG having an edge for those over 30 and Voyager for those under 30; while guys break down generationally, men over 35 tend to like original Trek best, while those under 35 tend to prefer either DS9 or Enterprise, with those under 30 tending to lean more toward Enterprise.
