Mytho: "She appeared and...touched me."
Fakir: "The same place where I touched you? Bitch!"
:::laughing insanely:: I don't even know the dub, really, and that's so damn funny. It should be iconned.
I like Fakir and Ahiru's voice. And Rue's. Not really Tutu's, though. It's too... ditzy!girly, whereas I expected it to be more elegant.
Fakir: "Punishment!"
Mytho: "I'm sorry. I'll do what you say. Fakir, I..."
Fakir: "Eat my ass."
::dies::
"You better stop manhandling me, bub. I squirt mushy duck poo at your face."
Hhaaha. Okay, poo jokes are juvenile, but that doesn't make them less funny.
I love that clearly the dub actors find the whole Fakir/Mytho thing as ripe for slash jokes as I did when watching it. I also love that the bloopers are probably worthy of a higher (dirtier) age rating than the actual show.
Okay, I'm definitely going to buy the Princess Tutu DVDs. Or at least get them from Netflix and burn them.

Date: 2005-03-21 04:41 am (UTC)The dub is so, so awesome. I watched the dub first, and then of course I've been watching the later episodes subbed since they're not out from ADV yet. I love it either way, but this is one case where I think the dub is at least as good, if not better than the subs. Usually even when I like a dub there are one or two characters that bring it down, but in this one I love everyone. And Fakir and Ahiru are SO good. I didn't realize this until I was listening to their commentary but it's the same lead actors that dubbed Full Metal Panic, which was the best dub I'd seen until Tutu (though not one of my favorite shows). Sorry I'm rambling...I just really, really love that dub. Hee. Oh, and wait until you hear dubbed Mr. Cat *loves*

That's good to know. I remain suspicious of Tutu's voice in the bloopers, but Ahiru and Fakir sound great and Mytho sounds a lot like he does in the japanese... flat and lifeless and soft.
I started to watch Full Metal Panic in subbed, and I just could not get into it. Everything about it turned me off, from the animation to the characters to the plot to the voice-acting.

Yeah, I couldn't either. I truly adored the dub, but I quit watching the show after the first disc because the only thing it had going for it imo was the quality of the dub. I really wanted to like it, but I just...didn't.
