Note to self:
Oct. 6th, 2005 12:21 pmWhen bored...
1. get the cat to stand on your lap and try to chase the mouse arrow across your monitor.
2. get the cat to chase a flashlight light in circles around the floor and up walls.
3. get the cat to play hide and seek or peek-a-boo.
Yesterday they had a bunch of booths out on campus selling stuff. They do this maybe 2 or 3 times a quarter. I made a beeline for the anime booth. I didn' buy any anime, but I did by my second ever plush doll-- this time it was Gaara of the Sand. My first ever plushie was Keroneko from Trigun, natch. Gaara's adorable, and I got him for 10 instead of the 30-50 they go for at conventions (absurd price), and his eyes and demon tattoo are embroidered, not printed on, which is good.
I also bought a flat rubber keychain of chibi!Roy Mustang. It was just so frelling cute and smirky! Not unlike my flat rubber keychain of chibi!Wolfwood. I would have bought a flat rubber keychain of chibi!Kakashi if they'd had one. Predictable?--never! I have very varied tastes in anime characters! Really, I do!
I also got a blue forehead protector, for when I got to Anime Expo next year. It's one the smaller size, and I'll probably wear it on my arm like Shikamaru. I asked if their were any other designs-- for Sand, or Sound, or Mist or something, but neither of the booth people had seen any merchandise except for the leaf symbols.
