Veronica Mars 2.17

I mean... whoa. That has to be one of the best episodes of the season. So many things happened! There was...and the... and then... gah!
Also, my ship meter is off the charts.... for like five different ships. There's Veronica/Logan, Veronica/Weevil, Jackie/Wallace, Felix/Blond Girl and Mac/Beaver... and V/L, V/W, and W/J are all just as good as buddy ships as they are romantic ships. That thing Weevil did in the beginning trying to correct Veronica's hand gesture? LOVE. Veronica and Logan as stakeout buddies? LOVE. Jakie rebuffing Wallace and just wanting to be his friend? LOVE. And of course there's Mars/Mars, the father-daughter team that's really the best ship of the whole show.
Then there was the inexplicable V/L dancing. I can't imagine Veronica doing that just to save some poor girl from a humiliating conversation. I'd thought she wanted to talk to Logan about something case-related. Instead they just...danced. And it took all of thirty seconds to go from tentative friend-dancing to stare-into-each-other's-eyes UST dancing.
Speaking of which, I liked his conversation with Veronica by the bus. One more demonstration that when it comes to stuff like helping Veronica, he talks big but still puts out. Puts out quite helpfully, in fact-- to the point of going on a stakeout. Then again, Logan was probably into that as much for his own curiosity as for helping Veronica.
Speaking of that mystery... is it over? Was it really that simple? I guess the rest of the episodes will be given over to the bus crash, but I admit the solution to the murder came sooner than I expected for the season. I wonder if they'll have an extra twist later? Something to do with the late Curly?
While we're on the subject... WEEVIL! Damn he's crafty. Very, very crafty. Clearly his one fault in running the gang wasn't a lack of craftiness, it was too much trust. Is he going to be back in charge of the gang again? I kind of hope not-- he's out now, for better or worse. He should take that opportunity to stay out. **I rewatched the flashback scene twive but I still didn't catch what exactly Weevil said about graduating, or why he got a funny look from Felix.
The Mayor guy still continues to be creepy as all-get-out.
