Fuma's dark side is really...lusty? He seems to have a crush on Kamui or something. He always looks like he wants to jump him.

He just licked the blood off Kamui's neck. Q.E.D.

Oh please kill her Fuma,, please. She's such a passive waste of tv space.

He really DID kill her? Great! Here I was dreading that we'd have to put up with her for the entire series. Fantastic! And now I expect Kamui will go crazy or something. That could be fun.

Kotori: "Kamui's the only one who can save my big brother." ...Yeah. Save him by cutting off his head. I saw that movie.


Episode 13

And they callled him FumAngelus for he was suddenly evil and badass and prone to licking blood off people. And now he has minions.

Maybe kamui will sleep for the rest of the series? Then it can be FumAngelus & minions versus the Dragons of Heaven! I'd watch that show.

You think the anime's bad, you should watch Fuuma go at it in the manga. And by "it" I mean Kamui, and by "go" I mean "make the boy pant heavily while grinding hips and licking him".

did you find the phallic/penetration/vessel imagery as annoying as I find it? I dig the swords and the superpowers and the angel/devil constrasts, but women giving birth to swords? Then a girl being ritualistically killed with a sword, while being fought over by two males who are set up for what amounts to the biggest pissing contest in creation? Blegh.

I could have taken the ritualistic sacrifice of the weakling female lust object, but I'm annoyed I had to swallow that AND the two women dying while giving birth to swords. The symbolism is so mysogynist (sp?) it's gag-worthy. It's a combination of the-woman-as-the-mystical-vessel-for-the-magical-male (a trope that I *hate* in media, and for which I blame Christian symbolism), plus reverse phallic penetration and sexual violence.

::sigh:: I like my sexual/violence imagery to be a little less obvious and a little more gender-balanced.


Aside from my complaints, though, I'm already through episode 15, so I'll be watching till the end. If only to see if any of them live.
