tv, inury update, cooking & 80s pop music
Jan. 8th, 2003 10:21 pmI've applied ointment to the burn, which seems to have actually been so hot it burned away all but 6 of the tiny lines in that tiny patch of skin on my hand. Very odd.
I watched West Wing, and found it to be an enjoyable episode which didn't seem to do much or say much, but did certainly entertain. I really liked the President asking "Zoe's really growing up nicely, isn't she?" and the two guys going "Oh yeah" only to get massive death glares.
Also: "I'm on your side in this. For the moment. And only because he's French and he's royalty."
I liked Will Bailey (the newbie) as a character and liked his getting the goat in his office, and everyone getting his name wrong, and that he took it well. Suspected that by the third of six-something times that Josh was just doing it to tease him.
Have decided that Donna is definitely the favorite person on that show. And she's so in love with Josh. And Josh is so in love with his job; it's sad.
Next week: CJ get's laid! CJ get's Mathew Modine! Someone gets sexin'!
Banana bread was very good, but has come at a high price. I hate burns. Clearly my long history of kitchen burns indicates a certain inability to function properly in a kitchen, thus proving that my destiny lies elsewhere, and I'd be a terrible housewife. Can't say this troubles me a bit.
I'm having an interesting problem... my local pop/mix radio station has an ad with clips from its different types of music ("80s, 90s & Today"), and one of them is an old song I've been tryign to identify forever, but unfortunately they never say the name, and only play the one chorus lyric, which I can only remember the last half of the line of:
"...by the light of the moring sun." (or something close)
This afternoon I found out it was by New Order.
I still don't know the song title. Very frustrating.
