He is. He totally is. I actually like the idea of him as a Fire Lord this season more than last season, from a purely political sense.

I think this episode we've actually seen him decide he's going to claim his throne whether Daddy likes it or not, which puts him in a very different position from last season's plan to get back in papa's good graces. That way he might try to change things from within the system, but it would be slow -- now he's set up to change the system.

And it's gonna be HOT.

Word. You say it perfectly. He's finally realizing that he can be kicked out of his home and cut his hair and run to the four corners of the world, but he'll still be who he always was: a prince. And now he's decided to act like one.

Irony there is that, good intentions or not, aggressively going after the throne at the expense of the current ruler is practically a family tradition. Aaaahhh Zuko Zuko Zuko. He's finally starting to get it. He's finally in the club.

Unfortunately, I'm thinking that there will be no more Blue Spirit adventuring. I think this episode showed that he's not going to play a role anymore.

Yessssss. Oh, Zuko, when you depose Daddy, that's when he'll finally be proud of you. I don't think you'll like it much.

I think you're right about the Blue Spirit -- everything Zuko does now he does as Zuko, prince of the Fire Nation and heir to the throne. And he's going to take the rocks and insults people hurl at him after he saves them over and over and eventually the word will get around that he's different, that everywhere he goes people who need help get it, and things will start to change. And then he'll team up with the Avatar and it's only a matter of time before he faces his sister and then his father again.

Um, everything you said in that second paragraph? Ditto. I agree. Especially: everything Zuko does now he does as Zuko, prince of the Fire Nation and heir to the throne.
