timepiececlock: (SPOILERS ARE WEAK)

Dear internet,

That thing I just posted to ff.net last night?

Please ignore the three typos. I know they're there, but ff.net won't let me upload the document file to replace the text, so it must hang out there with its glaring mechanical mistakes.

Sincerely,

Rashaka

Nevermind, all is good!

P.S. Still haven't seen the new Doctor Who episode. Spoilers, away with you!

Yet another reason why I'm keeping new stories on just Writely docs from now on.

I know it's offtopic, but...

I am totally fangirling your Billy Idol icon. XDDDD

I'm pretty sure that's not Billy Idol. I'm like 99% sure that's Spike from BTVS, in a flashback scene set in 1977 New York.

:o aasdfljk; Are you serious?? He's a dead ringer for Billy Idol. o_O I'm pretty sure he used to do that tongue thing as well, back in the 80's.

>_< Durrrr. *laughs sheepishly*

I'm pretty sure. And actually, his character kind of had a Billy Idol thing going. He was the Syd Vicious of the vampire community in Buffy The Vampire Slayer.

The original images is from 5th season episode called "Fool For Love", and was pretty awesome. For the scene, start here, and click the arrow button forward:

It goes back and forth from present to past (as in my icon) as Spike recounts to the current vampire slayer Buffy how he killed one of her predecessors on a subway train in 1977.

Yep. His character was originally supposed to have an old-style Southern accent, but he auditioned with a cockney accent (JM's really from California) and they decided to make his character a punk rocker instead. His girlfriend vampire was also crazy (literally), and the two characters were very anti-establishment.

I'd never been a big fan of BTVS before, but I have to admit I like Spike's character. I might just have to check out some of the later seasons now.

^^ Thanks for the info! (and now I'm off to make myself a REAL Billy Idol icon... XDDD)

Ok, I know this is so off-topic, it's not even funny, but I wanted to ask you for permission to write a drabble-thing for Culture Clash. Like 'Wooing Katara: ?? Attempt', but with a Shakespearian twist. Is it ok? You don't have to post it to the story or anything. It'll just be for your viewing pleasure. ^-^

Actually, the wooing chapters are over, so the answer will have to be no. Also, it makes me uncomfortable. But why don't you take your story idea and make it your own? My CC universe is fairly limiting. But a fic that's Z/K+Shakespeare sounds like fun; I'm sure you could do it.
