My LJ's been a sort of watermellony color for a while now, and I feel like changing it.

But I'm also feeling massively lazy. Too lazy to hunt down a new look.

This is a problem for you. You could just fiddle around with the preset colors indefinitely until you get something you like. Oh right, 'lazy'

How did you get the layout you have now? And why doesn't your Title pic work anymore?

I picked the colors I have now (just fiddling with pre-sets) to go with my title pic, which used to be hosted by someone else (before I had pic space on LJ) and when that ended I just never bothered to re-upload it.

I actually used to have a rather pretty background image that showed as multiple varying colors between the boxes where you see just the brown, now.

Well I've seen some of the layouts used by your friends, since they had cool icons and usually where cool icons are, so are cool people. Why not pester one of them. I'd offer if mine wasn't just a series of photoshopping pictures to a pre-existing LJ layout.
