A pretty amusing cosplay masquerade skit of Rose Tyler, the Tenth Doctor, psychic paper, and a Dalek.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=gm3TtnrdA1k

He even takes out his glasses and puts them on in the middle of the skit. 50 POINTS FOR GLASSES POWER.

Apparently the con was in Toronto, don't know what it was called. I am vastly, VASTLY amused. Oh, and you should watch the clip all the way to the end.

EDIT:

I'm also cracking up like serious business over this Tenth Doctor video to the song "Jesus Walks" by Kanye West. It's like a parody of the Ten's god complex and a sincere music vid at the same time. And DW to a rap song? Weirdly, it works. [livejournal.com profile] donna_c_punk, you especially gotta check this out.

The only problem is it uses a few too many scenes from that episode that doesn't really exist.

I like that vid--I believe [livejournal.com profile] nostalgia_lj created it. Somehow, I am always extra-enamoured when a vidder uses Kanye West.

I FINALLY watched the vid. You're right ... you're alternating between laughing at the thing and taking it seriously.

I thought you would get a kick out of it. :) The vidder walks the really fine line of parody... kind of how we weren't sure if we were supposed to take Ten's god complex seriously or not.

I watched the vid listed directly under it - "Lose Control". I didn't care much for the vid itself - because it used clips from "The Episode Which Does Not Exist" - but the song was new on me. I'm currently trying to locate a copy of it: "Lose Control" by James.

Never heard of it. If you find it and still like it, send it my way. :) Did you see the songs I put up recently? 18 vampire/occult/other stuff.

I DL'd a copy from AOL Music. I really like it. It's very ... old New Order. I'll upload it once I get it unprotected.

I think I did ... link me real quick?

Did you get the song "Bloodletting"? I decided I really liked that one.

I listened to it on MM, because I was curious about the ones I didn't have. It was good but probably one I'd end up skipping over more often than not if I put it on a burned disc.

Did you get a chance to listen to the one I uploaded last night? I was curious as to what you thought of that. I'm not sure if you're into that 80s New Order/Depeche Mode/etc. sound.

The Song.

I dunno if this is your style, but I love the hell out of old New Order and related bands - such as The Jesus and Mary Chain, Love & Rockets, Echo & The Bunnymen, etc. and so forth.

"Lose Control" - James.
