LJ friending policy
Aug. 17th, 2006 03:57 pmFor the first time in a long time, I culled a portion of flist today. I took off mostly people whom I haven't remembered speaking to in a long time, or whose posts I don't remember reading in a long time.
I wanted to go below a hundred, but I stopped at 116. Turns out I'm not as hardcore as I wish I was; my packrat tendencies follow me even into LJdom. But I did cut out a lot of LJ comms from my flist, and I think that will help QUITE a bit with the lessening the overload.
Now, to borrow from
octopedingenue, who put it so nicely, here's my friending policy:
I waffle wildly over my personal friends list, but at least one rule of thumb is bone-solid: it is absolutely okay to add me to your friendslist without asking, to keep me on your friendslist whether or not you're on mine, and to comment in my journal on any public post whether we're soulmates or strangers. I am always flattered when people read and comment on my posts here, and I often check out the journals of people who have me friended, so don't be surprised to see me comment now and then. If there's a particular post you'd like me to see, feel free to direct my attention to it.
