You know, I never thought the artist drew Sasuke as all that hot, even when he was supposed to be a bishie. And I definitely don't think Itachi is drawn to be cute-- not at all. And now looking at slightly-older-Sasuke... he's even less attractive. Naruto's becoming the friggin' bish of the group. I'm not sure if this is intentional or not.

What is all this crap Sasuke is spouting? I never took him for one who makes grandoise manipulative speeches where he goes after your emotional insecurities. He really is trying to become Itachi... he seems to have learned quite a bit from Kabuto in the manipulation department. Ick. Sasuke, even when you were a whiny little back-stabbing bitch and I hated your guts, I still thought you were a more straight-forward guy than that. More like Kakashi, less like Kabuto.

That was the last chapter I remember reading for Naruto.

Naruto is definitely showing even more of a resemblance to the 4th at 15/16 (he's about 3/4 of the way through his 15th year, Sakura's already 16 and Sasuke just turned 16- right after that arc ended Kishimoto says it's now summer and they have a bit less than 6 months now to try to rescue him again. Thus the studying of obscure medical texts for Sakura and heavy training for Naruto.) And Naruto becoming bishie- considering the excited reactions amongst the Chunnin fangirls to chapter 318, where we see Naruto wet and shirtless, yeah it's looking that way.

I wasn't surprised that Sasuke had become even more cold and distant, but was a bit surprised that he'd totally lost any feelings at all toward Naruto and Sakura. Sakura's hiding it from Naruto but I think she sees that they've lost Sasuke. But she's going to try right alongside Naruto to get Sasuke back, but it's was pretty obvious even in that encounter that her priority is now Naruto way over Sasuke. She was wanting to bash Sasuke into next week when he tried to kill a stunned Naruto.
