For akavertigo, who is busy reading Itachi/Sakura fic. Oh no, babe, no. If you're going to read spicy Naruto fanfic pairing Sakura with a random older male character, go for the Kakashi stuff, for he is ever so much sexier than Itachi. Kakasaku is my secret vice pairing of Naruto fic, so I guess this is me coming out of the cupboard.

Some thoughts on the pairing: I'm amazed that most of the Kakashi/Sakura fic out there is mature-rated. Some of it is fluff, but not as much as you'd think, and oft times even the ones that don't have sexuality do have mature themes on ninja violence and angst. But for one of the characters being significantly younger than the other character, it's very sexualized. I guess everyone wants to jump Kakashi in fanfiction. Not that I'm complaining, mind you.

Most of these fics have pretty decent Kakashi characterization, believably stretching what we know of him in the series into a character more workable in a romantic or sexualized environment. Some versions of Kakashi I like more than others, but none of the ones I recced here have major hang-ups. The characterization of Sakura seems to be all over the board, though, even in the higher quality fics. Because the fics involve her being anywhere from 2 to 7 years older than the current manga timeline, a lot of this is speculation on how Sakura would behave as an adult. That means there's a wide range-- but that's nothing new for Naruto fanfiction, or other fandoms like Harry Potter or Avatar where you have to speculate on the adult personas of adolescent characters. It also depends on how the writer includes post-time-jump canon in their fic.

And you're welcome! A tip: read "The Window" listed above first. It's only one chapter of a promised multichapter fic, but to give you and idea: this one chapter has over 100 reviews. Not so much because it's Shakespeare or anything, because you read it and you just go "OH MY GOD I WANT MORE OF WHATEVER I JUST READ CAUSE THAT CONCEPT IS SO FUCKED UP AND GREAT."

Isn't it though? I was almost laughing at how bold the fanfiction was, especially with regards to Kakashi's sex life. And then there's the kitten comment, which was hilarious. And underneath it all is a weird sort of awkwardness that's almost disturbing. You can feel how uncomfortable Sakura is at what she witnessed, combined with kakashi's non-reaction.

Read "Crash" or "Glass Castle" next-- they will meet your standards. The first is odd but great and the latter is funny and actiony and suggestive at the same time.

Also, "Tangled In Moonlight" at the kakasaku comm is promising to be good indeed.

So it reads okay? Thank god. I was so nervous about posting it because I'm still pretty new at the smutfic thing, and I'm new at Kakashi/Sakura fic, and... this is a lot more like out and out porn, whereas the other two adult-rated fics I've written have been soft erotica.

Yeah, it reads fine. It made me laugh AND was steamy at the same time. And the steaminess wasn't...there might have been one that's-a-bit-awkward-sounding moment, but overall it flowed well, and sounded realistic (says the virgin...*rollseyes*). Eh, I'll just go leave you a proper review. :-)

I have read it, actually! It was one of the earlier fics I read when I started getting into the pairing (not that long ago, but it seems long now.) It's on my Story Alert list. I didn't put it up here because a) I forgot, and b) I enjoyed it but wasn't crazy about it-- probably why I forgot it. But I do hope she updates soon because even if her fic isn't one of my favorites, it's decent and decent is hard to come by on ff.net.
