Ivanhoe

Prince John coloured as he put the question, "What is thy name, yeoman?"
"Locksley," answered the yeoman.

Holy crap. I am still reading Ivanhoe, right? When did this become Robin Hood? Is Robin of Locksley actually a character in this too?

...BITCHIN.

I am oddly loving this book. First there were secret identities, then foreshadowing of a scandalous cross-religion romance, and now there's fucking Robin Hood. That wins.

Just finished it! I noticed the stuff with Richard--- the book compliments him on a personal level but also turns around and says "Well, historically he wasn't actually that great a king and died prematurely anyway." As a character, I liked Richard. He was likeable.

I'm feeling big character love for Rebecca.

Im surprised that there was so few scenes with Ivanhoe in the book, given that his name is the title. Richard, Bois-Guilbert, and Isaac & Rebecca have more prominant storylines that Ivanhoe does.
