Pairing List, post HP-7
Jul. 28th, 2007 09:00 pmHermione/Ron in their early 20s - I can imagine them being together for a while, but not getting married. Hermione isn't going to get married or have kids until her 30s, because she's too busy being awesome. Ron can't wait for that, and deep down Hermione isn't sure she wants him to.
Ron/Someone Not From Hogwarts - because DUDE, not everyone has to marry someone they went to high school with.
Ginny/Neville - They didn't mean for it to happen, they didn't want it to happen in the middle of a revolution, but ten months is a long time. Enough time for something new and fantastic to grow and thrive, something they can't ignore even when all the fighting is done and all the words are said.
Harry by himself...eventually Harry/Luna - After being dumped by Ginny (even though he officially dumped her last year) because she fell in love with Neville when Harry left for a whole year, Harry spends a good while by himself, without any serious relationships. He gets a couple of nonviolent jobs, has some vacation/down time, studies again, and generally rediscovers what it's like to live without constant fear and pain. When he's 21 and sane again, he's at the Ministry interviewing for a job as an Auror. In the hall he meets Luna Lovegood, back from her research of foreign indigeonous magic in Brazil. On a whim, they go to lunch, and he learns she's staying in town for a while to consolidate her research, and would he like to learn a spell the Brazilian hedgewitches use to leave a magical trail that only a beloved one can follow?
Tonks/Remus - um... they didn't die? YEAH!

I particularly like how you have Harry move past some of his stuff first; it would be difficult for me to believe in happiness for him and anyone if he didn't have that time. Brazilian hedgewitches and casual lunches that end up going somewhere -- delightful! :)
