Fanfiction prompt lists, and motivation

I've always felt vaguely guilty that I've never yet posted a single fanfic entry to
64damn_prompts, a community I created and a prompt list that I wrote. (actually, I also wrote two sequel 64-prompt lists for
akavertigo and her zutara fic Snowblind which she hasn't finished, very sad) It jjust never hit me at the right time. I was busy with my other Avatar fanfic and didn't associate the prompt list with that. I also wasn't inspired by any other fandoms, as I still live in partial denial for Doctor Who, I've basically given up Veronica Mars early in season 3 and have no idea what's going on, and BSG, while entertaining, inspires no fandom feelings in me whatsoever. Kara and Lee can make googly eyes/groins at each other for another four seasons and I still wouldn't give a shit. Heroes... kinda the same as BSG.
My actual fandoms are kind of... scarce, right now.
I'm stalled for anime, though I hope to watch Last Exile sometime soon, and eventually to finish both Monster and Death Note. All are hard to watch on spike travel with AmeriCorps, so it happens only once every two months, when I have a break or transition week. And frankly, Avatar has priority over anime for fanficcing.
I am watching DW, natch, but I no longer feel the need to write fafic for it. My OTP iscanon-forbidden by space and time, so I leave it to others to write and me to read.
The only other thing I'm into writing these days is Naruto-verse future AU Kakashi/Sakura fic, which would probably be just fine for these prompts if I could just bother to care more about writing ninja techniques.
I suppose I could do Harry Potter... but I like thinking up or learning names for canon spells even less than canon ninjutsu.
Ahhh... maybe I should just do it for Kakashi/Sakura. My fic Lucid is going nowhere because I started on a flawed premise and I can't really fix it without totally rewriting it. And I got such a kick out of writing the first few chapters as they are that I'm loathe to rewrite them. I could just start something new with a prompt list.

Re: good anime
Date: 2007-08-28 04:45 pm (UTC)Juliet, though... I am intrigued by her. I like how we're introduced to her... as a heroic figure, one fights and swaggers and seeks justice, but with an air of being a woman who fights for other women, even though she dresses like a man to do it. I hope that doesn't change... that with her discovery of her duties as the daughter of the Capulet family she doesn't let go of that kind of fight spirit that she was able to show when she pretended to be Odin. I'd hate to see her turn into a simpering damsel in distress.
Especially given that so far Romeo looks like a bit of a wet noodle. I kinda would like to see him grow up some enough to deserve such an awesome young woman as his partner in love.
I noticed that names are tossed about pretty liberally, not typically in line with the traditional story. I like the setting... and I kinda love the pegusi. Did you ever watch The Twelve Kingdoms? That's an amazing anime that has the coolest unicorns you'll see in anime.
I'm enjoying it so far, and will definitely see where it takes me. I like romantic fantasy.
