Go.

Now.

It's freaking unbelievably great. It's everything a summer movie with superheroes should be, and it does it so well I almost forget that I'm watching a comic book superhero movie at all. Best one since Batman Begins, and on par with BB in terms of pure entertainment and class.

I've never read Iron Man comics, or watched cartoons for it, or even knew the name of the protagonist, but now I can say I am, most definitely, a fangirl.

Robert Downey Jr.-- Tony Stark-- you made. my. weekend.

What? That good, really? I wasn't planning to see it but now I just might.

I was in moviegoer bliss for about 2 hours. I wouldn't say it was better than Batman Begins because they were worlds apart in difference... like apples and oranges. Like, if Spiderman 1 is an apple, then Batman Begins is an orange, and Iron Man is a tangerine.

I happen to prefer all citrus to apples, myself. The X Men movies would be, like, pears or something. Alright if you get a good one, bad if you're unlucky.

Seriously, I enjoyed the hell out of it. It's *fun*. It won't change your life perspective, but it will make you smile a lot and laugh too.

A friend of mine said she saw the post-credits scene on YouTube. Not sure how she found it. I'm sure it'd be rather easy to turn up with their search engine.

I'm guessing by your icons that you liked it too. I haven't looked at my flist for a while, so I don't know how others are reacting.

I thought it was great. Judging by the previews for The Dark Knight and The Incredible Hulk, this is gonna be a pretty good movie season for comics fans.

I love the excited feeling the SHEER LOVE my flist has over this flick has given me; I haven't felt this delightedly expectant about seeing a big movie since forever.

((schedules it for birthday celebrations after Finals Week))

It's a lot like how pleased I was after seeing Casino Royale, though this was not nearly so dramatic a film. I am just... very, very happy to see a GOOD movie.
