I just started reading "Journey's End" fanfic, and
A. All that we know about the new Doctor's change is that he has one heart and ages at a human rate. That's it.
B. We don't have any reason to assume he's no longer psychic. Or empathetic. Or whatever, precisely, the Doctor normally is.* Especially since I'd bet dollars to donuts that Doctor 1 and Doctor 2 were having a silent psychic chat on the ride back, deciding Rose's future for her.
C. Unless they say it in the confidential, which I haven't watched yet, but if they don't mention it then HEY! No reason to assume that the Doctor somehow loses all of his tricks. He's not human. He's not what Donna became, a human with a TL brain. He's part human, which means he's also still part Time Lord. And since we don't know the full extent of a Time Lord's abilities, let's not start erasing them too quick, eh?
* an ESPer?
