I'm looking for a month-to-month room to rent on craigslist, and this was the dirty gem of tonight's browsing adventures:


$250 LOOKING ROOMATE (Females Only)

All utilities included, it is furniture already with laundry inside. I'm a man Respectful, Clean and Honest, living in apartment with one room, looking for female roomate who want to save in rent. I'm looking friendly person for friend or girlfriend. If is for friend I'm able to sleep in the living room. If is for girfriend, we can get to know each other first and I will pay all the rent.
I just want to share with someone my weekends off playing tennis and swimming, watch movies and practicing my English and all that you want to share your hobbies too.

Yurk. I've heard of shit like this. Someone I know saw a listing for a month-long boat trip that was basically looking for a hot chick to do no work and hook up with the guy who owned the boat.

I guess that's what you can expect to find sometimes on Craigslist, even though it's sometimes a lifesaver.

Also: $250 for an apartment? Maybe it's where I live, but is that not absurdly low?
