BWAHAHAHAA. Yes, Peter. Enjoy your Sasuke moment. Where's my Squishsuke icon when I need it...

And the frustrating thing is... Peter is really more like Kakashi than like Sasuke. He's the copy ninja of Heroes. Especially since the "steal any technique" part of the Uchiha mystique has been more or less abandoned in the Naruto manga in favor of the "magic psycho-delusion eyes" thing.

But, without the brains. Peter Petrelli is like Kakashi---but the stupid Kakashi. Anything you can do he can do better, except think for himself. He's a more reactionary character than Uzumaki Naruto, and Naruto's pretty freaking reactionary.

That scene made me laugh. So much. XD

Anyway, Peter might be more like Kakashi technique-wise, but personality and intelligence-wise...no. Peter-as-Sasuke actually works kind of well.

And I don't know that the technique stealing aspect of the Sharingan has been forgotten so much as Kakashi had that aspect of it covered. We saw from him why that was badass in the very beginning. And it's a shounen manga so it constantly has to show itself up when it comes to power and technique, so that means the Sharingan needed MORE to it so that it would continue to seem awesome. And it was sort of clear from Itachi's first appearance that those born with it used it differently than Kakashi did, so it's not out of no where.

Though, admitedly, it IS basically the swiss army knife of eye jutsu. IT DOES EVERYTHING.
