Feb. 3rd, 2003 12:02 pmMy last class got cancelled, so I'm home early. Planning to go to a book trade-in place and acquire yet more reading material that I won't get to for months.
Before I went to the class that wasn't, I stopped off in the cafeteria to eat a hard-boiled egg as part of a later breakfast. I would have skipped the cafeteria entirely, as I find it disturbingly noisy and oft-times overcrowded, but I have to have salt on hard-boiled eggs, and salt the cafeteria tables do have in satisfactory amount. Hard boiled eggs are one of the few things I will bother to put salt on at all, but I do bother because it just tastes wrong without it.
Anyway, so I'm sitting at my own tabe, and this guy walks up, almost goes past, looks around at the crowd, and asks if he can sit. I say sure; he's got pizza and other-lunch type things. I smile politely and go back to reading my english textbook and dumping mass amounts of salt on my egg.
He start up conversation, and I give in, because he's kind of cute. Looks freakishly like actor Seth Green, only taller, with longer hair, and somewhat geekier clothing. Still, kinda cute. There wasn't a lot of sparkage, but he was nice. Alas, another guy named Andrew.
The bad:
*He's 3 years older than me (22 vs almost 19), which is older than my brother, which still squicks me out
*He opened his mouth to talk once while eating and a piece of food fell out. That's a put-off. On the plus he was very discreet about it.
*the conversation kind of stalled
The good:
*He did keep trying at conversation
*His hand was clean when I shook it
*A semi-cute guy did ask me for my email and/or phone number when I wasn't wearing make-up or contacts, and my hair was pulled back in a les-than-attractive but functional ponytail.
So, this is good. Did I mention he looked kinds like Seth Green? But with more freckles. Is Seth Green normally a redhead?

Date: 2003-02-03 02:21 pm (UTC)See, that's my thing here. Today's Andrew was cute and nice, and interested in me--but not someone I think I'd be very interested in dating. He just... didn't interest me. But I dunno. If he emails me I'll talk with him a bit.
