I will be posting bits of my attempt at National Novel Writing Month. Who wants in?

By agreeing to be under the filter, you understand:

1. I will be posting sections of my writing as I go along. These will be under an LJ-cut.

2. As per the advice of the website, I won't be editing as I go, so it could be quite terrible and below the moderate standards for punctuation you typically expect from me.

3. I may cry.

4. At some point in this month you will have a non-binding friend obligation to give feedback of some kind, even if it's to tell me that my story is "surprisingly lame". As this is non-binding obligation, the only thing to happen if you don't comment sometime during November is that you will be eaten alive by your own guilt. With store-brand cheese.

5. You may have to hug me if I cry.

P.S. Listen to Common Rotation's "Rock Me Obama", because I love it.

Since I wrote that comment I figured out the male sidekick/love interest character. But my protagonist is harder!

Glad to have you! Now I have to actually write tonight... I have a scene already in mind. I was going to do a fanfic, but I'm thinking of maybe trying to write something original. I looked at the Fantasy Dare[s] thread on the NaNo website and it's made me feel like maybe the best way to tackle this is to let myself be a bit silly. I might be less self-conscious with my own characters rather than having to stick to the limits of pre-made characters. On the other hand...fanfic is such a familiar sandbox.

Untrue!

But I’m much too busy with this bacon-on-bacon with mayo to argue this now.

Keeeep meeee. I barely exist on the Internets nowadays (junior year of high school just comes totally out of left field) and my life is a black, black hole called school, but I cannot participate in NaNoWriMo and am thus willing to content myself with other people's NaNo.

It's actually really hard to find other people's NaNo work to read; for understandable reasons, they all lock it. It's like feeling locked out of the library, you know.
