What is it with epic fics that torture my heart?

Has anyone else been reading Silvershine's Kakashi/Sakura House of Crows? Because I just read the update this morning and, gah, IT'S ALL GOING CRAZY!

Seriously, there's like the Naruto canon, which is the manga, and then there's the other canon, which for me is everything Silvershine's ever written. And now Things Are Going Badly and all sorts of Secrets Come Out and I am fighting hard not to believe in the first fanfic that's ever come close to making me even doubt for a moment Kakashi's loyalty. But he has to be loyal! He's KAKASHI!

Anyway, up, that's a fic flail right there. It makes me feel obligated/inspired to write more of my own Naruto fanfic.

I actually am holding off on reading so I can read it all in one chunk, so would you mind putting the spoilery bits of this under a cut?

Because I could do without knowing that Kakashi's loyalty is being questioned. (And on that subject: no. freaking. way. If it turns out that SS writes him as a traitor, I am calling OOC right freaking now.)

That's really the only thing that's remotely spoilery, and it was already in the summary of the fic. [ But one thing is for sure, Sakura will protect her unborn child at all costs, whether it be from Konoha's enemies... or from its own father.]

Plus, you know how her fics are, everything is all twisty every other chapter anyway. And, well, TRUST ME, I haven't even mentioned all the awesome OMG stuff.


I know what you mean about chunks. I read it all last night, and by chance it was updated this morning! What pleasant luck. It feels like it's only halfway along, though, so you might be waiting a while.

Oh, you're right about that, sorry.

And I was looking at the lengths of her other fics and I agree about that's it's probably halfway done. Still, since she posts pretty regularly, it shouldn't be too long.

Do you like this fandom/pairing?

She wrote my all-time favorite kakasaku fic, "Duty Before Honor". I'd suggest reading that one first, then "The Window." They're completely separate stories, but there's a almost thematic change in the writing, as DBH explores the beginning of a relationship, TW explores the middle of a relationship, and "House of Crows" is sort of after a relationship.

For my tastes, Silvershine is basically the Fandomme of the KakaSaku ship. Huge, epic, sexy adventure fics.
