1. Katara/Zuko
I love this pairing, still do. I haven't written fic in eight months since the finale, but my love is still strong. I'm just taking a while to come around, so to speak. But it's probably the pairing I've written the most fanfic for and definitely the pairing I've gotten the most positive fic response for. Say what you want about the fandom, but don't ever doubt the kindness of ATLA fic reviewers. Very generous folk, easy to please, and quite encouraging. Also, I'd like to say that modding katara_zuko is something I've always been proud of, because we're an island of sanity in this fandom.

2. BrOTP
YES YES YES YES YES YES YES. OMG, I love this season so much! It's so wonderful when it feels like the writers of a show and the fans of the show are on the same side, wanting the same OTP. I say this with only having seen aired eps, absolutely no spoilers. I've just felt--ever since the season started--that things were going to be legendary. I need to write more fic for these two cats.

3. Doctor Who
I'm a die-hard Doctor/Rose shipper in any incarnation or reTeneration. I adore them, and all their flaws and imperfections. I haven't seen Planet of the Dead, but I will tonight. I am feeling the slow onset of regeneration angst again...it's been four years since last time.

4. Farscape (don't spoil meeee)
Unspoilery: This is the angsty, dramatic, funny, bizarre space opera that makes me happy and hopeful instead of depressed and lonely. I want Aeryn to be my sister, and I want to give Crichton a thousand hugs (my poor, tortured Crichton!) I want to run around an alien planet with Chiana, Rygel, and D'Argo...because that would be the most exciting thing ever. In fact, given a choice between the crew of Moya accidentally destroying a planet and The Doctor accidentally saving a planet, I cringe to say it but I think the Moya crew might be more fun. Of course, the Doctor would also love them, so really, a crossover is the way to go.

5. Harry Potter
I still ship H/L, I liked movie 5 the best, I can't wait for movie 6, and it's taken five movies for me to finally accept Daniel Radcliffe as Harry. I accept him now as movie!Harry, but he's not and never will be the Harry I read in the books. On the other hand, Michael Gambon is totally Dumbledore. He's a better Dumbledore than the late Mr. Harris ever was, may he RIP. Oh, and another thing: I adored Neville in the last couple books, he was one of my favorite characters, and I almost wish the entire series had been about him. Plus, I think he and Ginny had this awesomely sad love affair in book 7 while Harry was off on his Magical Monster Easter Egg Hunt. Why hasn't anyone written the epic tale of Hogwarts during the year that wasn't?

Oh, and more people should have died. MORE PEOPLE. A LOT FUCKING MORE. *cough* That's just my opinion.

When I stop shipping when my pairing becomes canon, you're doing it wrong.

Well, you know me, so it totally wasn't that I was upset about Lupin/Black.

Actually, I totally shipped them in OoTP. I just got really, really frustrated by Tonks being so depressed about Lupin (yes, there was a war going on, but her depression is presented as solely because of boy trouble, plus it ties into problems I had later). I disliked that Lupin didn't seem invested in the relationship until there was a kid (and Harry was right to yell at him for leaving his pregnant wife - that said, I was really disappointed in Lupin for offering). I hated that they both died (it was both trite and unromantic, imho), and I was frustrated that when we see Tonks rushing off to battle not in the context of 'she's an auror, there's a battle on' but 'I must find my man!' To sum up, that was my whole problem: Tonks got downgraded from a capable auror to Lupin's girlfriend, and Lupin turned into Sasuke.

I still can't believe Ron didn't bite it. No way Harry should get to keep BOTH his best friends AND his girlfriend AND all his body parts intact.

Agreed. And thank you, but no. I've done this before and I'm rather busy at the moment.

yes! that's like, all my problems with Lupin/Tonks, because it was SUCH AN AWESOME SHIP until it--wasn't. (well, the whole "I don't care" thing was awesome, in a REMUS. GET OVER IT. way.) But the whole abandoning her thing? Lame. Also confusing.

I liked that by introducing it as out of left field just highlighted how narrow Harry's world view is, and that the books are about him and his experiences, so of course there's stuff going on around him he's not privy to.

and really, that stuff is what all those epic fanfics should be about. Instead of Draco doing Harry. Or vice versa.

Yes. It was utter reverse character growth.
