I know! But think of it this way: Ted could announce he's started to date Wendy, and just as Barney is about to open his mouth to make a horrid remark, Robin grabs him and either covers his mouth with her hand or kisses him or something drastic to make him not say anything bad!
A reporter asked the producers about that and they said no, it's not Wendy.
Personally, I think it's that recurring limo driver's daughter. There's gotta be some reason that guy keeps coming back. Plus, it would tie so nicely into the pilot.
