Details? It's seemed pretty slow to me--I definitely feel like the community as a whole has suffered since the finale. I've been skimming a lot of posts lately, so if there's an ongoing problem it's likely I didn't read enough to pick it out. Mostly it's been fanart and fanic, normal stuff.

There's a discussion post someone made today that I just replied to with my eyes rolled. I don't really have grounds to censure it, because it doesn't break any rules, but it's unfriendly and has the distinct smell of hidden troll to me. *shrug* We'll see.

That's kind of what I was referring to -- the post today. But also I just haven't enjoyed browsing there, lately. When it's not an annoying post about shipping preferences, it's either huge spams of really short (400-500 word) fic chapters, like five of them in a row, or repeated demands that we sign up for that annoying Hou Tian RP thing.

I'm sad, because I used to love hanging out in katara_zuko, but it feels like there's not much really worth reading in there, anymore.

I miss those days of long, epic fic updates and beautiful arts. *sniff*

I miss the epic fic updates too! I just feel like all of ATLA fandom is going through this.

I know who you mean about the fic updates, and I'll send the author a message about condensing them into one post every day or two. One of us should have done that already.

Can you give me a link to the ad for the Hou Tian RP thing? I didn't know someone was aggressively advertising, and I don't agree with using the space that way.

The good thing is that there've been plenty of art updates in the last month or two. =)

I know how you feel. It's why I tried a prompt today...I've been thinking about various ways to encourage activity in the comm. There's less energy after a show has ended, but that's no reason not to have stuff going on as plenty of fandoms go on fine after the canon ends. Do you have any thoughts on stuff you'd like to see?

Well the recent HT advert was here, but I guess I was wrong about it happening every week or so. For some reason it just felt like I was seeing it all the time. o_O

I don't have any particular posts that I feel I have to see; and you're right, there have been some nice art updates. It's just the other minor annoyances that have been turning into pet peeves for me recently. I'm not even sure why I brought it up, as I'm not even watching the comm atm, but I guess I felt the need to vent or something. ^^;

Heh, I didn't even see the ad there! I was distracted by the random naked characters when I first read that post. Maybe you've just seen the topic mentioned on other comms too and that gives you the everywhere feeling. =)

I just messaged the fic-spammer; I went back 60 posts and it IS over the top. Sometimes 3 in one day. Hopefully she'll pull back down to one a day from now on. If not...it's whip-crackin' time! Seriously, dude, I haven't cracked a whip at anyone at K_Z since 2008. It's kinda past due.

That's what we're here for! Also, I meant it about suggestions. Or if you get any ideas of some kind of project or activity, feel free to just put it up there and go. =)

Coincidental timing---I have been doing the same. On Friday at work I drafted a proposal for a 100 word perfect drabble contest. I hadn't gotten around to posting it and I'll hold off for a couple weeks. (And don't worry--I was going to make sure that all entries were entered onto one post, as opposed to dozens.)
