timepiececlock: (The Slayer wants YOU!)

Ok, not really.

Cause honestly, I loved this episode. Loved it to bloody bits. So wonderfully pleased I was unspoiled. Every time I get the urge to spoil myself, a great episode like this comes along and cures me of that silly notion.

Hah! And since everyone has already said it, I'll just reiterate:

Weee! It's the return fo Giles' badly drawn and overly-graphic visual aids!

How much did I love this episode? Loved it lots. Like, lots lots and lots. Allow me to repost what I said after I first watched Showtime:

Lesson the first: Buffy's a terrible counselor.

Lesson the second: Buffy's in love with Spike.

Lesson the third: Everyone knows both of these things but Buffy.

And ha! I was right. I'm going to just about combust from fangirly gushing. Because that's what I do. I gush. And this was gush-worthy:

"He can be a good man, Giles; I can feel it."
"It doesn't matter if you're not... phsycial with each other anymore; there's a connection. You rely on him, he relies on you."
"The bad boy thing... some girls go for that."
"Why does everyone think I'm still in love with Spike?!"
"Redemption is hard."
"I'm not ready for you to not be here."

:sigh: Yes, it was great. And the theme music. I'm so into the B/S theme music. It's everywhere now.

I like the twist on Principal Wood... considering all the fanfiction theories being thrown around about him, that's one I didn't expect. Well-- I guessed it as soon as he said his mom was a slayer. I like this though-- room for some rich angst. SPike angst. Buffy angst. Hottie principal angst.

It makes me wonder though-- I'm pretty sure that isn't the same actress they used before for the NY slayer. You all think so? Oh well, if it's not, it's a vague enough point for me to forgive them, as there's any number of reasons for the other actress not to be available. And she was only on the screen for a few minutes, so a new actress who looks close doesn't bug me. And hey, that was the duster, wasn't it! That was Spike's coat! HAHA!

Favorite line: "The microwave?" ::cackles:: That was hilarious.

"She's glad to be in the land of plenty." Ha! Giles making fun of Americans! That always cracks me up, even thoguh I be American.

There's too many funny lines here for me to quote them all.
But I just have to say--

"Willow, gay me up here."

--I should so write a slash parody for that. Maybe I will. Cause it's perfect.

And Ashanti? I was able to completely ignore her. Cause I liked Xander too much in those scenes to care a fiddle about her.

I loved Giles in this. Loved Anya. Liked the new Potential.Thought the girls were all pretty. Thought Wood was hot. Thought Spike was hot. Thought it was cool how Wood automatically picked up on The Spuffy. Thought said Spuffy was great.

And here's a screen cap of Spike-expression (and Spuffy moment) that I loved:

Spuffy hotness factor

Jump ship?! How could you jump ship *now*?! In terms of mutual (positive) feeling, this was the shippiest epsiode we've ever seen for Spike & Buffy. I mean, I can undrstand jumping ship earlier in season seven, when Buffy's feels were more unclear... but now? That's nuts. I adored the epsiode.
