oh hell. What's with this? They were showing up before, and now they're not. Can anyone tell me if the icons from my previous post are showing up properly on your comps?

Hey, about that ranchoweb thing, I just tried to upload some files last night, and it seems it's no longer free. But, for $9.95 a year, it's still one of the better deals out there. Sorry for leading you astray. I had no idea they started charging.

I signed up for a geocities website, but I can't get the pagebuilder program to load. So I'm all befuddled on the whole concept.

Yeah, I used to use Geocities. Unless your comp can handle Java well, good luck with Pagebuilder. Also, you need an insanely fast connection to get through. That's why I went to Dreamwater. Luckily, it was free when I signed up. But, I think Geocities doesn't allow remote linking, if memory serves me correct. That's what you're trying to do, right?

yeah, that's what I'd like to do. In a pinch, i could jsut put all my icons on a page and link it, but then I still wouldn't be able to put other pics up.

What's the address for dreamwater? I'll check them out...

The addy is www.dreamwater.net but I think they don't allow external linking as well. I think Angelfire does, though. I use Dreamwater for my fanfic page so I don't have to worry about external linking images. I think Angelfire's still free but you might have to double check that.

I'm out of ideas then. Other than paying for ranchoweb, I don't think there's free webhosting available that allows external linking. Sorry :(

This seriosly bums me out. I guess I'll ahve to try to make a website work, and then just provide a link for people to follow.
