hhm... chocolatey goodness!
So my 19th birthday's technically on Wednesday, but my family celebrated today. A small clebration, but very nice. And cake. Chocolate cake w/ vanilla ice cream.
I got two equally gorgoeus cards from my parents. My dad always finds these unbelievably beautiful cards; I don't kno how he does it. It's like his super power-- superb taste in cards. My grandmother came over, and that's wonderful. She's looking so much better now, even still being on oxygen tanks. It was wonderful to have her there.
My gifts were as follow:
-Evanescence album 'Fallen' --> awesome
-DareDevil sountrack --> love the Saliva song, others
-issue of the Farscape official magazine ---> neat reading
-Stephen King's non-fiction book 'On Writing' ---> I can't wait to read this
-reference: '2003 Writer's Market' --> neat-o!
**** We interrupt this broadcast to say that Rob Zombie's song form DD soundtrack, 'The Man Without Fear', is stupid and we're skipping it******
- The Oxford Essential Geographical Dictionary --> because, apparently, I'm "constantly looking that stuff up and this should help."
- some nice matching bracelets
- a little key-chain quote book on girl power
- nice light-weight dark jean jacket, that brings out the red in my hair.
- taken out to lunch w/ friend K earlier today
- $60 toward my new "Have a Life Fund." Seriously-- that's written on the card. You don't know how pathetic you are until your parents have to give you money to tell you to get a life. I think I'll go out, buy 'A Sudden Rush of Blood To The Head', and then put the rest away until Fanime Con.

Date: 2003-03-23 10:34 pm (UTC)Hey, I've never heard of that CD. ::eg::
It's weird, you're the tenth person I've seen writing it incorrectly. There's no "sudden," girlie. ;)
But nitpicking aside, I command you to buy it now. Actually, buy "Parachutes" first. I have hooked ALL of my friends on them, and I have to say, they are the only current mainstream music I listen to nowadays.
The beautiful melodies, the heartfelt lyrics -- ::sigh::

I love The Scientist (see: icon). I've heard it from downloads for months now, and I _never_ever_tire_of_it. Adore that song.
