Now that's funny.

I've heard about his... commitment. He quit smoking, supposedly cause SMG didn't like the aftertaste. Although, really, the first time they kiss, in the musical? It looks like they're chewing eachother's faces off. Not sexy. The Bronze kiss after was very cool tho. And Spankya was some smokin' sex.

Wonder if the old, old rumor is true. Spuffy started cause SMG supposedly told Joss she wanted James smoochies. Obviously, she probably didn't say it quite that way, ;}

I thought the musical kiss was pretty realistic for a first kiss with someone you don't trust, aren't sure about your feelings for, but desire like hell. Messy, feverish, awkward, lips not connecting right. I thought it was sexy, but that's just me. It was funny when near the end of the scene, JM bites SMG's bottom lip. Ooooh, bitey ::smacks self:: (okay, mind out of gutter now).

I think it was more than a rumor. I have the old issue of EW w/SMG's interview where she talks about how she would like Buffy and Spike to get together b/c it would be cute and she thinks the character of Spike is cool and she talks about how great JM is (she actually talked a lot about it for an interview that was supposed to be about her role in Scream 2). I bet she's pretty horrified by how her one innocent comment planted the seed in JW's mind and led to the 37 car pileup that is the Spike/Buffy relationship. In the interview it sounded like she wanted the characters to interact in a Something Blue kind of way. ::Sigh:: gives new meaning to be careful what you wish for.

I have an issue of YM magazine circa season 4 "Buffy" in which SMG recounts a story of how she told Joss that Buffy should get with Spike, and Joss said "No more vampires!"

I read this interview where he said he'd quit for his health, and then started back up again for Buffy, and then quit again.
