ok... I'm probably the last person on LJ who did this. But I was really bored, and I don't fill out these kind of 20+ questionaires a lot, so I figures I'd do it once, for good will, because this one was interesting, and different.
1. What's the first thing you remember wanting to be when you grew up?
I wanted to be She-Ra. I wanted to be a pretty princess with a flying horse and most importantly-- a magic sword. A big, sharp, magic sword.
Then I wanted to be an artist.
2. Describe a dream you remember?
I was on a barge-like boat, floating down a river. I was standing in the stern, but on the flat deck outside, and there was a cover above the deck. In front of me was a table and I was folding towels on it, as I watched the shore and the people pass by. It wasn't dark or light outside, but kind of in between. The water in the river was muddy and gross, all swirls of green and brown and grey. But I wasn't unhappy-- I just kept folding towels and staring.
3. What book are you reading?
The third overly-long book in this fantasy series. Can't remember the title or the author, but the previous book was called 'The Prince of Dogs.'
4. What colour are your sheets? Curtains?
White sheets, dark blue curtains that clash with my light green walls, but wouldn't if I'd just get around painting my room already.
5. What song is in your head right now?
"I've got a lovely bunch of cocanuts..."
6. Waitaminnit... Where are you?
Computer lab, community college.
7. I am afraid of...:
Wasting my life, and never doing anything exciting. And maggots. And of my parents divorcing.
8. Your day job/dream job:
Day job - student.
Dream job - writer, dolphin trainer
9. What movie have you seen the most times?
Um... a lot. Probably... Independence Day. I wish I could come up with a more... intelligent-person answer, like a Spielburg movie, but that fun, amusing action adventure movie is the one I can quote the most lines from. And you can't hate a movie that's got that many explosions. 2nd possibility:Get Shorty, or Aladdin.
10. One question for Jesus, or Buddha or Mohammed, etc?
If you all hadn't been so damn greedy for followers and said that your way was the ONLY way, we'd have had a lot less trouble all 'round.
11. The guilty pleasure you'd really rather not admit to here:
That I still like Sailor Moon.
Yes, I've moved on to greater things. I criticize and mock it ruthlessly. I balk at the bad animation art. I complain about the changing of Zoicite's and FishEye's gender. I cringe at the word 'moonie.'
And yet, I still watch it when it's on tv. I still think that Darien's a hottie, that Jupiter should just kick everyone else's ass and declare herself Dictator For Life, and that without Luna's Giles-ish advice and simple level-headedness they ALL would have been nega-hamburger ages ago and Serena would have knocked herself out cold with her own cutie moon rod mid-transformation.
12. Comfort food of choice:
grapes. chocolate.
13. What's the last video you rented?
Monsters Inc.
14. Who do people say you look like?
My mom. My brother.
15. What's the bane of your existence?
People who pretend to be stupid because they really just want to be lazy. I guess they think that the world looking at them as too stupid to understand something is prefereable to the world just thinking they're a flake. This is logic I don't grasp.
16. What's the last thing you found on the ground and picked up?
a pencil
17. A writer worth reading:
Ray Bradbury
18. Where would you like to grow old?
With a loved one, in a pleasant, temperate climate.
19. A word of wisdom:
Duck. (the verb)
20. The question you get asked ALL THE TIME!!!:
"What the hell are you talking about?"
--- I find that lots of people don't really make mental associations the way I do. I can look at a clock and say it looks kinda like a boat, if you think about it--- and they don't. So I have to explain. In detail. And then they still don't believe me.
21. When was your last hospital visit?
Picking up medicine for my grandmother--- months ago.
22. The last thing you said out loud:
"Thank you."
23. Current clothing:
Army green pants that are kinda ugly in color but very comfortable, and an old favorite top combo-- a grey/black thinly striped shirt with a matching dark charcoal grey long-sleeved, fitted overshirt. Blue tennis shoes. Wire half-framed glasses.
25. In my last lifetime I was probably...
I think my previous lifetime was actually one that occurred in the future, because I was a soldier in some kind of war, and I used laser guns and hid in the dark and shot at people. It's why I have had an unexplainable dislike of all thing mass-military since I was old enough to understand what the military was.
