Before you ask, _NO_ none of these names were chosen because of BtVS. the two familiar ones just happen to be familiar because one is a fairly common name, and the other's part of my cultural obsession with things Scot/Irish.

I've been thinking of names I liked for my children since I was about 11 years old. Is that weird?

Lesson learned recently: you can make a very good burrito from leftovers.

What I used this time. I pulled one of those old cartons of gravey out of the freezer, and thawed it. We had some leftover already-cooked steak pieces, so I chopped that up, and cooked it with the gravy. I dumped in a whole bunch of chopped up green chilis froma little can, and added green slasa. I opened a can of beans an dumped some of those in to. cooked it all together, made some white rice, dumped ti all onto a tortilla, added a slice of american cheese, and called it lunch. very good.

I got all nostalgic and watched some of the last DVD of Trigun over lunch.

My favorite episode of Trigun is most definitely "Sin". Episode no. 24. I loved ( serious spoilers )

Later I plan on going on in great detail on my opinons about the end of the series, and the philosphical themes and character dynamics and stuff. Cause I'm bored and I love that show.

Also, new icon! I was flipping through screen caps and this shot was just too good not to mock. Too bad it can't be bigger. ^-^

I just saw about the last 60 seconds of a music vidoe by "The Vines" on MTV-2.

I stayed till the end of their video because I wanted to know their names so I could remember to to never ever even consider buying their product.

Because it is product, not music, and its trashy product too.

Ok, I've been avoiding it for a while, but I finally watched sisabet's Spike/Angel vid to Nine Inch Nails' Closer. Although I totally agree that if vamps were real they'd be bisexual, and if Buffyverse was real, Angel and Spike would so have a sex history, for the most part, I don't pay attention to slash. Except on occaision to affectionately mock Spike's manliness (see lj-icon).

But holy shit, is this video cool.

I watched it once, then had to go mop the kitchen. But as soon as I was done, I ran back and watched it again. And then I commented here.

Because it rocks.

Watched it a third time, in full screen form.

I loved the swtiching back and forth between Angel and Spike while they had close-ups with looks of pain/anguish/estacy. And the flashy-soul parts with the words "You bring me closer to God". And the dialogue overlay was brilliant.

Damn me if those wooden stakes/spikes being shot out at the end wasn't a deliberately phallic image.
