timepiececlock: (kiss me hard)
I missed the first half of my 4-hour film class today because I was finishing my essay on theme in Spirited Away. When I was walking down the stairs to the screening room, there were all my classmates are already moving up the stairs, with ready big smiles to say:

"Hey Saaaarraaaaaa... kinda late aren't you?"
"Wait, is this-- is class OVER?"
"Yep."
"We're out early?"
"Yeah, Sarraaa...you're late."
"Well just shout it out from the rooftops why don't you."
"Sure thing, SAAARRAAAA..."
"Aw, fuck! Later, I gotta go turn in my essay."

I was entering the classroom when I saw FilmBoy. He stopped to chat with me and say that I missed a really good short film. I was disappointed. One, because I hate missing the good ones, and two because I obviously missed some primo time to chat about it with FilmBoy. He did say "Hey, I replied to your email," though, which was cool I would have chatted but we had to go in different directions.

And whee, my estimation of him being "kinda cute" has just graduated to "quite cute."

I dreamed last night of someone stealing my car. God knows why anyone would want to. But I chased them down about four houses before the guy stopped, panicked, and jumped out. I chased him down on foot too, a few more houses. When I caught him and started scolding him he got all nervous, threw my stolen cell phone into a nearby bush, laughed, screamed, and ran off.

I picked up my cell phone (it's a very nice one, with color), and went back to my car, and wondered why he ran off with my cell phone but left my CD/MP3 player behind.

All in all, quite absurd.

One of my favorite Cowboy Bebop fanfics was just updated.

I have a test on Monday for a class I'm not doing well in. Oh joy.

I feel a great desire to bake. There's chocolate chips in the cupboard. But I made brownies two days ago. Why do I always resort to baking when I'm frustrated?
timepiececlock: (no ticket.)
Karma Police, arrest this man beside me on the computer.
He talks in wheezes,
His breathing like a vent
He's like a violated cat

Karma Police, arrest this girl beside me on the computer.
Her apple shirt is
Making my head hurt
But otherwise she seems alright

Karma Police, arrest these guys behind me
They talk in geek
They buzz about games too loud
And I can't wait to shut them up.

Karma Police
I've been patient all I can
It's not enough
I've tried to be nice
I can't just sit here anymore

CRASH!
"FUCK!"
BANG!
"HOLY SHIT!"
BOOM!
SNAP!

"GET HER OFF ME!"

For for a minute there
I lost myself, I lost myself
Phew,
For a minute there
I lost myself, I lost myself
timepiececlock: (all those things)
crap. I missed my turn at [livejournal.com profile] drabble_tag.
timepiececlock: (the scientist)
[livejournal.com profile] eliade did this list of her ultimate fannish moments.

I thinking that's a cool thing, and I'm gonna treat it like a meme and do so myself. But I'm doing a lot more, cause I have anime too!

Ultimate Fannish Moments:

1. Buffy: Fool For Love, the *clap* editing transition between the New York subway and the modern Spike in the alley. I watched it for the first time on a rerun of FX, but it astounded me. That whole episode, really.

2. Buffy: the UPN promo for Bargaining that showed Spike stand in the middle of a burning street and jump-kick a guy off of a motorcycle. I know it's frelling tacky to pick a promo, but that one moment convinced me to make time to watch a show I'd happily ignored for 5 years. And always impressed me.

3. Buffy: Spike looking up at Buffy in on the stairs in Afterlife, and Buffy nervously buttoning her shirt, which was a very specific action for someone so out of it and uninvolved with the things around her. It was only my second episode watching the show, and right then and there I feel hard for the ship. I didn't even know who the characters were, really, but I was latching on to "destiny!" with all the squealing that includes. It wasn't until later than I even realized the significance of that scene and how it related to stair scene in The Gift.

4. Buffy: Tabula Rasa kiss. For everything.

5. Buffy: The basement scene in Never Leave Me.

6. Buffy: The death of Hallie in Selfless, and also the abrupt and shocking camera-cut from Anya's song to her body impaled on Buffy's sword.

7. Fushigi Yuugi: Episode 33, when Nuriko cuts his braid. I didn't see it coming, and it was so significant of everything in his character and his mind and his future... I was shocked at the suddenness and couldn't stop gabbing about it to the girl I was watching it with. Then the rest of the episode came, and there was much crying.

8. Inu-Yasha: I don't remember the episode title, but it was sometime after Miroku arrived... Inu-Yasha embraces Kagome for the first time, only to grab the jewel and push her back through the well. The look of betrayal on her face as she falls, the image of him standing over the well entrance above her.

9. Inu-Yasha: That scene in episode 50-something, when Inu-Yasha first becomes a full red-eyed demon, and ripps the other dude apart. Literally. Because, shit.

11. Trigun: Episode 23, when Vash looks at the bloody signature of Knives in the middle of the lifeless town, and raises his gun and shoots at the name.

12. Trigun: Episode 23, when Wolfwood tells Vash that Knives is in Dimitri, and Vash nods, then looks up to ask how Wolfwood would even know who Knives was, but he's gone.

13. Trigun: Episode 24, when Vash is standing at gunpoint with Legato, we hear Meryl and Millie screaming, and then you know what happens. That's the best moment EVER. For drama, and for the aftereffects.

14. Cowboy Bebop: Toys In The Attic episode, at the end, when everyone's floating around the ship, dead as fuck, and the white refridgerator is spiralling out into space to the Blue Danube. What an ode to Kubrick. Plus, who doesn't love a show that can cheerfully kill off all the main characters then pretend it didn't even happen next week?

15. Cowboy Bebop: Faye waking up on the floor from unconsciousness in Brain Scratch episode, to see Spike sitting casually above her, smoking.

16. X Files: the entire episode Post-Modern Prometheus. Cause dude, violated frying pans.

17. Gundam Wing: That moment (don't remember the episode) of Duo screaming in the crowd as he watches the Deathscythe getting destoryed.

18. GW: That episode (Queen of the World?) when Relena about to enter the room for her coronation, and Dorothy Catalonia says something like "You should smile, Relena. After today, you'll be the queen of the world." The way they focused on Relena's face, and the way that Dorothy said it, with that insinuating tone... it was great.

19. GW: episode 48, when Heero tells Relena she's a stronger person than he'll ever be.

20. The West Wing: the episode when Josh goes all post-traumatic-stress crazy, and he punches the window. Cause I love Josh.

21. Escaflowne: when Allen and Hitomi kiss, and we see Van standing there in the rain, staring at them. The scene was so well built-up, and you could just feel all the history pounding into all of them with the rain.

22. Escaflowne: when Van, Hitomi, and Allen are captured and imprisoned in the Zaibach cages, and Van and Hitomi reach out and just touch each other's hands... that's a wonderful moment. So painful yet beautiful, with that fantastic music.

23. Neon Genesis Evangelion: episode 18, when they open the Eva cockpit and we see X_spoiler_X )'s broken bloodied body, and the only sound you can hear is Shinji screaming... that episode fucked me up right good.

24. Farscape: Crackers Don't Matter, when John has everyone hog-tied on the command deck, and he's trying to reason with them and they're all super-paranoid and catty and twitchy.

25. Farscape: In the end of season 2, when Aeryn's ship is falling and John's coming back to himself, only to realize that Aeryn's going to die. Their final frantic words.

26. Farscape: We're So Screwed Part 1, when John makes his Cowboy Speech.

27. Farscape: We're So Screwed Part ?2?, when Scorpius outlines his entire plan of deception and mutli-layered betrayals, all supposedly to help them, and Noranti says "I do admire your compartementalization of dupilicty."

28. Farscape: finale episode... John & Aeryn, on a boat, with the ring, and D'Argo, Chiana, and Rygel trying to figure out what they're talking about. Basically everything except the final minute.

29. Farscape: every moment where Braca appeared oncsreen. I want my own Braca minion.
