This business about always posting HP stuff is getting out of hand. I need to stop. ( Especially since I've now written my first Draco-Hermione ficlet, even though its vague and there's no outright shippiness. It actually turned out more redemptionist than I had originally intended, something I'm not sure I'm happy with. It's weird, but I seem to have a desire to write Death Fics lately, especially for HP. I never felt that way for Buffy. I wanted everyone on BTVS to life forever. )

:sigh: I want Buffy the Vampire Slayer to play on tv again. I want Farscape to play again. I want to have a new LotR movie every month, instead of every year. For the rest of my life.

How'd I do, wickedprincess3? Was my Draco *totally* OOC, or only just a little? Feel like cursing me to the fandom ghetto now as a dreaded fanon writer?

I was listening to the same Tori Amos song on repeat while writing this. No wonder it's all about death and war and good people turning evil and role reversals and stuff. Her music almost always makes me moody and slightly depressed.

Only three episodes left of Carnivale! And one's tonight. It doesn't seem fair... I don't feel like we're anywhere near an ending. There's been so much character build up here, but I don't feel like we're heading toward the main battle yet. You know, the battle between Justin and Ben.

I liked Samson in last week's episode. I just like Samson's character in general. He's very layered, in a kind of charming, though sometimes frustrating way.

I'm still not sure what Lods is. This is a source of irritation for me, though I'm sure that's the point.

I finally gave in and started liking Jonesy. It's so fascinating to watch the differences in his interactions with Rita Sue and Sophie. And my heart's breaking all up for Rita Sue. And her husband. I don't think Sophie and Jonesy should get together, but his crush is awfully cute to watch.

The think with Ruthie and the kiss wasn't a surprise. I can't tell if he just wants her, or if she's doing her damndest to seduce him. Maybe both. But I'm glad he ran away. Because as interesting as their relationship would be, the fact that she also slept with his father adds an incestuous level to it, and a complex secual relationship is exactly what Ben doesn't need at the moment. His plate is awfully full.

It also doesn't surprise me to learn that Sophie's father raped her mother. You could tell that something was up with the history there. Well, I didn't expect that exactly, but I did know it was more complicated than it seemed on the surface. What freaks me is that her father is TreeBack!Man. Now, is TreeBack!Man the Devill? Is he Hack Scutter, making Sophie ben's sister? Is he the person who was the Satanic counterpart to Scutter, the way Justin is the evil counterpart to Ben? Why has it been hinted to us that Justin is becoming TreeBack!Man? If he does, who was the first TreeBack!Man?

Is TreeBack!Man the CigaretteSmokingMan of a past life? Is Ben Hawkin's Fox Mulder's long lost brother too? Who's parents were doing who, back in the Great War?

When will we get to see some dramatic flashes of lightning, and some plague, and army of corpses, and some mountains disappearing with a wave of a hand?

If Ben starts dreaming again in tonight's episode, will the Bearenstein Bear Of The Trenches come back?

I think I want a PotC icon that says "Don't trust a captain who is sailing in a straight line"... but what character should I put it with? Jack hardly does anything in a straight line... he's a weavy-swishing-swirly kind of guy. But he is fairly untrustworthy. I suppose Barbarosa... or maybe Norrrington? There's a guy who would try his damnedest to sail in a straight line if he was told he should.
