Mystic River

Well, finally watched Mystic River tonight. I have a few, brief, things to say:

1. Sean Penn was good, but not as good as Tim Robbins or Kevin Bacon. They deserved Oscars more.

2. It was eerie, and unrelentinly grim, but it wasn't like watching A Simple Plan or watching Deliverance, thank the Santa Clause. It wasn't as hard to watch as it could have been.

Dennis Leary has a new show on FX, about New York Firefighters.

I like Dennis Leary-- I always have. His humor is often quite crass, which turns me off of most comedians if that's the only thing they do, but somehow, I've always just liked watching Leary on screen. I liked The Ref, and his part in The Thomas Crowne Affair.

Have there been any Buffy season 7 books out yet?

How do they handle the Buffy/Spike romantic arc?

Were there any decent season 6 books that didn't have all the characters permanently stuck in their season 4 selves?

And my dad said it wouldn't be able to pick up much of an audience. Hah.

I took the Counting Crows lyrics off my journal and instead added a fanfiction To Do list for all my current WIPs.

My mother used to complain about my habit of reading six books at any one time. Clearly this habit has spilled over into my writing as well.
