Aug. 26th, 2004 04:42 pmWHEE! The Outfoxed DVD came in the mail through Netflix today.
I'm waiting to watch it until tonight so my mother and I can see it together, but to pass the time I'm watching the Behind The Scenes feature. I have to say I'm impressed-- they've gone through a step-by-step description and outline of how they put this film together, how they chose what material to include, and there's multiple interviews with not only the editing/production staff, but also several several interviews with the individuals chosen around the country to watch Fox News at regularly scheduled times and to report and cite what material and issues were covered (or not) and how they were covered and presented. People from different parts of the country with different backgrounds, jobs, and educations. It's quite interesting. It also gives them an open, transparent image... by telling me how they made the film, I feel more grounded in watching it because I'll understand what went into making it, and thus why things are presented the way they are, for better or worse.
