Housemates (all who have seen movie): Just watch. It's got a good ending, happy, kind of.

Housemate 1 (f): where's the happy ending?

Rashaka: There's like 4 minutes left. Watch it.

Housemate 1 (f): It would have to have a dramatic turn-around in the last 4 minutes.

Housemate 2 (m): They cure cancer.

Housemate 3 (m): That bad guy just died. There's your happy ending.

Housemate 4 (m): See? The dog lives.

Housemate 1 (f): Okay, the dog is okay, that's alright.

Shaka: And the little boy is okay!

... end of movie...

Housemate 5 (f): I fail to see the happy ending in this...?

Shaka: (INNER VOICE): What do you mean you fail to see it?! El Mariachi gets his revenge! The noble FBI guy lives! The little boy lives! The amoral CIA agent gets his come-up-ance and lives too! He's a survivor! This is totally a happy ending!

Shaka: **long-suffering sigh**

So last night I was rewatching FMA and I had this idea about this scene with this movie line that would work wonderfully for FMA 51 spoilers )

But I couldn't remember where the line was from.

Then, of all things, I was watching Once Upon A Time In Mexico with my housemates tonight, and I remembered, THIS was the movie with the line I wanted!

my imaginary crossover power uses OUATIM dialogue for FMA characters after the final battle )

I cannot say in a million ways how perfect that exchange is for FMA.

I'll icon it. After [livejournal.com profile] hecatehatesthat, [livejournal.com profile] tiashome, and [livejournal.com profile] donna_c_punk watch all of FMA so that I don't spoil them.

I watched Farscape this morning from 10:30-11:20... sadly neither episode was "Crackers Don't Matter". ::pout:: But I did end up explaining the show to one of my housemates... unfortunately I don't think I hooked her.

Farscape is so wonderful, but... but it's so hard to explain. And I always feel vaguely on the defensive when I explain it, even if my audience/convertee is patient and open-minded.

::sigh:: I love this show though. And the miniseries is in two weeks!

I am so seriously hyped about that.

You know how in Naruto everyone jumps from tree to tree and stuff, and each tree limb (especialy in the 2nd Chunnin exam) is massive and could support like twenty people?

I just figured out what that reminds me of.

MARIO BROTHERS!

It's like jumping from tree-top to tree-top or mushroom-top to mushroom-top. Only Sasuke, Naruto, and Sakura never just accidentally walk off the edge and lose a life.

Huzzah! I just saw THE PRINCESS BRIDE IN A THEATER!

It was awesome! There were giants and sword-fighting and miracles and shrieking eels and true love and R.O.U.S.es!

This is still one of my top ten favorite movies, ever. Ah... nostalgia.
