Nov. 1st, 2004 12:14 amI just watched this Trigun music video to the music "Requiem For a Dream" (what IS that the score to?--I swear I've heard that on trailers before) and it opened with Wolfwood's dub voice saying, "There's no place worse than this planet. It's horrible here."
And then it went through all kinds of angsty pandemonium, ending with Vash doing that big bad thing he does at the end of episode 24.
And after watching all that I was like, "Yeah, it is pretty horrible there. Damn this is an angsty show."
Then I remembered all of FMA and I was like, "Nah, sorry Trigun, you may have been the angsiest anime I'd ever seen for 4 years on, but FMA is angstier. You've been dethroned, my love."
Mmm... Wolfwood's dub voice sounds awfully good taken out of context. I wonder what his English Voice actor looks like? Then again, if he's ugly, I don't want to know. I must preserve the Wolfwood hotness in my mind.

"Seven Notes In Black" is one of my all-time favorite pieces of instrumental music. It just makes my blood pressure rise. And all it is is the same damn 7 notes being played over and over again in rising and falling tones and volumes. But cripes it's eerie. And it is seven-- I've counted.
The version I have I got from the Kill Bill Soundtrack and it says it's by Vince Tempera, though I don't know if he's the musician or the composer or both.
Once I thought this would make a wonderful video for Buffy season 7. Now I'm thinking it would make a good video for Full Metal Alchemist, seasons 1 & 2. Really, all you need is a show that builds in tension. This is the ultimate tension-building song.
