Perfect Blue ...really creeped me out. Icky.


Princess Mononoke ...made me want to have a wolf as a pet and plant some trees.


X ...was an hour of my life I really, really want back. Seriously. I want that hour back.


Spirited Away ...was so amazing that I wrote my final paper in my Film 01 class on it, and got 100/100.


Macross Plus ...was great. Yoko Kanno, I'd go lesbian for you.


Castle of Cagliostro ...was the first Lupin III thing I watched, and made me all kinds of happy. Hayao Miyazaki is the shiznit (as you can tell by this list.)


Grave of the Fireflies ...I haven't finished yet. I stopped half way, and have been avoiding it since because I just *know* it's going to make me cry if I keep watching.

Ranma 1/2 movie 1 ...Eh. Alright.


Ranma 1/2 movie 2 ...Funny. And romantic.


Neon Genesis Evangelion the movie ...I have not watched due to my utter disgust with the conclusion of the series. Once I'm burned, I don't go back.


Inu Yasha movie 1 ...Didn't like it. Weird animation. Nothing exciting about the plot.


CB: Knockin' on Heaven's Door ...trippy. A little slow and a lot improbable, but trippy nonetheless. Excellent character development. And music. And pretty, pretty animation.


Escaflowne: A Girl on Gaea ...I hate you. I really, really hate you. You are not that magical, moving, ambitious and beautiful television series I loved. You are massively disappointing money-making franchise excrement, and ohhhhhhhh I hate you.


Naruto movie 1 ...when will you be out? I want to see you!


FMA movie ...waiting for you is the most exquisite of torture. If you go the way the Esca movie did, I will be not only heartbroken, I will be catatonic.

An X Files Moment.... you just get them sometimes

I had a totally X Files moment when walking on campus tonight. I was going to this library-like study center that's open till 3am (bless them) to use this very computer I'm sitting at right now, when I saw ahead and off to the side of my destination a weird cluster of students. About 20, looking like they were standing in some sort of circle looking at something in the middle.

For god knows what reason, my brain flashed back to early X Files, and went something like this:

They're all standing in a circle! At 11 o'clock at night on campus! It's like ritual sacrifice! They're about to axe someone right there in the center! Where's the bonfire?! Don't eat the chicken! Axes! Chicken! Scully!


So...yeah. Welcome to my random head. I haven't even seen that episode in years.

Now I find this pretty amusing. I expected Shikamaru (cause boy am I lazy), but I think my love of swords and sarcastic yet easy-going demeanor nudged it twoard Kakashi (who is those things, plus very lazy). Although Kakashi is cool, and I've never been extraordonarily cool. I'm like the kid in Almost Famous who gets told,

"Sorry kid, but you're not cool. You may hang out with cool people, and you're a good kid, but I've met you and you are not cool."

(no subject)

God I want my computer back so bad. I probably won't even get it until this weekend.

Meanwhile I totally missed the LJ black out people were talking about, I have checked on hardly anyone else's journal or my flist, I haven't done anything in communities, and I've been sporadic in my own updates.

Without my computer, I am not whole.
