Doctor Who?

So, I am way behind on my Whovian fangirlism. I still haven't seen the Xmas special, and the only thing I know about season 4 is The Big R Casting Spoiler.

That's what I wanted to ask you lovely folk about.

The episodes with the Big R Casting Spoiler... have they happened yet? Is there one, or is it a two-parter? I think I'm waiting for those and then will marathon the show, or something.

I don't know what I'm waiting for. I think I'm just nervous that it won't go the way it went in my head.

... I'm pretty sure it won't because my head is a very, very 10/R shippy place and I am damn sure that my mental canon ending would not make for an exciting episode plot, no matter how deliriously happy it would make me.

I'm scared it would ruin the open-ended-ness of season 2's finale. I don't *want* to know "how it ends" if knowing ruins my chances of imagining something better. I like open endings, particularly open TRAGIC endings, where you can imagine the tragedy away.

Anyway, a general heads-up on where the show is right now would be appreciated. And if anyone says, "Rashaka, just don't go there and don't watch," know that I probably WILL take you seriously, so mean it if you.

Huzzah! I'm going to San Diego Comic Con 2008 with [livejournal.com profile] irrel and her peeps!

If you're there, and you see a tallish woman in glasses with curly red-blonde hair and a tag that says "Profession: Tea Taster" and "Company: Cauda Pavonis Perilous Tea Corps" then hello! That's me.

I'm excited about the guest list-- Ray Bradbury's awesome of course, but I'm also interested in Dean Koonts, J. Michael Straczynski, Jim Butcher, Wendy Pini, the author of World War Z (which I might try to get autographed) and others.

I'm interested in the blood drive as well, though I'll be one month short of my year-long-limit for donating blood after getting a tattoo. I hope it's a year, not 18 months... I can't quite remember.

Anyway, I'm SUPER psyched about this. And since I just signed over my credit card for registration, I'm definitely committed. Whee! ::claps:: I've only ever been to Fanime Con before... this should be much bigger and much crazier.
